My
History
The Story That Changed My Life
Since I was a child, sport has been an important part of my life. I grew up playing tennis, almost as long as I can remember, and over time, my passion expanded to sports such as wakeboarding and snow skiing, among others. As an adult, I developed an admiration for the hills, enduro cycling, and in the sea, surfing and kitesurfing. These activities, together with trips to the beach and moments shared with lifelong friends, set the stage for unforgettable days, until one day I began to suffer from back and hip pains that gradually became unbearable, darkening that joy.
My visits to the beach were limited to waiting in the car, gazing at the sea from a distance, paralyzed by pain. This is how I began an odyssey between traumatologists and physical therapists, but I found no improvement. After numerous X-rays, ultrasounds, and tests, I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, an allegedly incurable and degenerative immune disease that was limiting my mobility and ability to enjoy life.
I sought out the best doctors in my country for encouraging answers, but the diagnoses were consistently grim. My future seemed darker with each visit until a casual conversation with an acquaintance, a survivor of aggressive melanoma, changed everything. He recommended consulting someone who had helped him immensely. That person, in turn, suggested visiting a specialist located in Boston, advice I initially dismissed due to the distance. However, a family trip took me to that very place, which I took as a sign, and I decided to give my last shot.
This health specialist, with surprising confidence, claimed the solution to my problem was simple: improve my diet and eliminate starch, along with other less crucial guidelines. Though skeptical, I strictly followed his recommendations, and astonishingly, within ten days, the pain was gone. Against all odds, as long as I adhered to his regimen, I was healed.
My recovery was so remarkable that shortly after, I managed to reach the summits of Aconcagua, Ojos del Salado, Kilimanjaro, and other mountains — a feat I could never have imagined, even before my diagnosis. Not only had I healed, but I felt better than ever. This turning point in my life led me down a path of dedicated learning about nutrition, health, meditation, and sports. I began sharing what I had learned with friends and acquaintances, offering advice that many still value and appreciate.
Though I am a Commercial Engineer by profession, what started as a personal quest turned into a vocation. Years later, in Australia, after completing an MBA and inspired by the country’s remarkable wellness culture, I focused my efforts on studying everything related to health and nutrition, which truly motivated me. I immersed myself in the Kaizen methodology and obtained certifications that solidified my new purpose.
Although the disease brought suffering and anxiety, today I look back and feel grateful for that stage of my life. Had it not been for the adversities I faced, I might never have discovered this transformative lifestyle or found my true purpose.
Today, I invest my time in deepening my knowledge and helping others develop healthy habits with personalized plans, to live with energy, overcome diseases like mine, and fully enjoy this great gift we call life. I aspire for us to achieve a full life together and hopefully grow old while still being able to enjoy it — maybe contemplating the sunrise from the summit of a great mountain.
I invite you to join me on this journey to well-being.
